College Art Association
CAA LA Conference

Proposals

CAA invites its members to participate in the Annual Conference by either chairing a program session or presenting a paper at a program session. Conference sessions cover the breadth of current thought and research in art, art and architectural history, theory and criticism, pedagogical issues, museum and curatorial practice, conservation, and developments in technology.

Propose a Session
CAA annually solicits proposals for conference sessions in the May CAA News and on the website. The deadline to submit a proposal for a session to CAA is usually September 1.

Propose a Paper
Each February, CAA publishes its Call for Participation, which contains descriptions of sessions for the next year’s conference and contact information for those sessions’ chairs. The deadline to submit a proposal for paper or presentation to the chair is usually May 1.
